the new 76ers

The New 76erswww.acoustichappiness.com

Facebook  ReverbNation

The New 76ers are an acoustic folk band from North Florida. Their original songs come from a cross-genre respect for both acoustic and electric music. As a family, they rely on instinct to meld voices into harmonies which take the spotlight. They are southern-tinged, family and soulful, and play music that is inclusive and full of heart. Their mission is to give love through music, and they contend that music is, and always will be, a force to compel change. The New 76ers have played many festivals throughout our state and region, as well as locally in Tallahassee.

king cotton

King Cotton FacebookReverbNation

In 1996, King Cotton was formed by the nucleus of vocalist Tony Young, bassist Todd Bevis and drummer Tom Corbett. The band's goal has always been to take traditional blues and put a modern spin on it. King Cotton's style is rooted in the blues, but it mixes southern rock boogie and tinges of outlaw country to form its own infectious, North Florida sound. Mixing old school feeling with a contemporary flavor, King Cotton's music is a fresh sound enjoyed by all ages, and its high-energy, live performances leave audiences not only hearing the music – but feeling it as well.

Claire Swindell (bass and vocals), Charlie Vanture (guitar and vocals) and Sarah Mac (lead vocals, guitar, keyboard and any other instrument needed) joined together in early 2005 aspiring to create original music that blended the unique styles that each brought to the group. What emerged was the Sarah Mac Band: an engaging combination of blues, jazz, and acoustic rock that has been classified as both Americana and Alternative. The band simply describes the sound as "jazzy, bluesy, rock with a healthy dose of soul." Over the past six years the band has built a growing fan base along with a considerable repertoire of original music.

Wanderfoot

Wanderfoot was formed in 2011 around the idea of creating soulful, original, modern Americana roots music. We create music from the world around us, telling stories of the struggles we see, and reflect through songs those deep universal experiences that we all share. All of that creates an eclectic sound that combines rock, folk, reggae, blues, and many others. Each story dictates the sound, and we try not to get in the way.

Formed in early 2011, the Drama Kids have been impressing fans all over Tallahassee with their eclectic live performances and original recorded work. Known for both subtle, acoustic ballads and in-your-face, Telecaster-driven Americana, the Drama Kids' talent is reminiscent of classic and contemporary artists such as Neil Young, Gram Parsons, and Wilco. The Drama Kids were initially founded by singer-songwriter David Paul Zimmer with the debut album, "Love and Fear." Soon added to the lineup was bassist Joe Duncan, blues-rock guitarist Jeff Gottlieb, and technically-savvy percussionist Chris Langley. The four-piece group is now recording its next studio release and booking new shows across North Florida.
