I work in several mediums, hence my business name is Multiple Personality. In fused glass, I create portraits of people, pets, and nudes by brushing fine frit into place with a dry paint brush. I also cut and piece glass into dishes, bowls, mirrors, and wall hangings.

Lesley Nolan

Almost without exception, my work involves common human interaction and memory. I'm a people watcher and I wonder what is going on in their day. The pieces of glass allow me to convey the image in a uniquely dimensional way. Glass expresses color differently than any other medium. Saturated or translucent, it adds a dimension to color and expands the palette beyond every crayon in the box.

In addition to painting, I work with old doors and windows and pieces of stained glass, creating a mosaic-style artwork, which I call "Glass on Glass." The old 'frames' bring their own history and 'thoughts,' influencing the direction of the pieces.
