1. Determine
if you are eligible. You can read an overview
of the eligibility requirements, or download
the application for the full requirements.
2. Submit
your mandatory Intent to Apply Form
by the required deadline. This form does not obligate you to apply,
but merely holds a place for you in the program.
3. OPTIONAL:
Attend a free grant workshop. COCA holds two workshops per grant,

4. Download
grant forms and instructions. Please contact COCA if you need
assistance or a printed copy of the forms.

Schedule a courtesy consultation with a COCA staff member. This is

6. Complete
your grant application. (Do not underestimate the amount of time it

We recommend that you allow several weeks for the process.)
7. OPTIONAL:
Bring your near-completed application to COCA for a courtesy review.
We strongly recommend that you take advantage of this opportunity
to identify and correct technical errors in your application.
8. Make
collated copies of your entire application. You must submit the original
plus seven (7) copies, for a total of eight (8) copies (including
copies of all support material).
9. Submit
all eight (8) copies of your application by the deadline to:
