Purchasing a State of the Arts license plate is an affordable way to make a direct contribution to arts and culture in Leon County. COCA, your local arts agency, gets $20 from the sale of each arts tag in Leon County. COCA uses these funds for programming that benefits the local arts and cultural environment.

How much does a State of the Arts license plate cost?

Each plate costs $22 in addition to your registration fee. For each plate purchased, a $20 tax-deductible donation is made directly to COCA. (If it is not time in your license plate's cycle to replace the metal license plate when you switch, you will pay a few additional dollars to substitute a specialty plate.)



How do I purchase a State of the Arts license plate?

When you renew your registration, just let them know that you want to replace your current license plate with a State of the Arts plate. You can purchase your license plate by mail, or in person at one of the tag offices in Leon County.You can also apply online at the State of Florida Express Lane site.



Do I have to wait for my annual renewal notice to switch?

No, you can purchase one in person at any time.
