Bands vie to win a trip to the Americana music festival

It’s election season, and amidst the campaign signs and television ads, it’s not surprising to hear there are those out there who want your vote. But not all of these people are making campaign promises and political pitches.
About a dozen local Americana bands are competing in COCA’s Americana Music Fest Contest. The grand prize is a trip to the Americana Music Festival & Conference in September in Nashville, a professional development opportunity most could never afford on their own. The band with the most votes wins.
